1975 was another
great year to be young in. Life at the
farm was unbelievable, there was so much
going on. Not to mention the Buffalo Rally at Bloemfontein, Trout Rally in Salisbury,
and Dassie Rally
outside of Bulawayo on the Vic' Falls road, three great runs. There seemed to
be a continuation in the
decline of the number of really good LP's that came out, although there were
some that you just couldn't
afford to be without. Pink Floyd's Wish
You Were Here, Frank Zappa with One
Size Fits All, another
musical feast. The guitar solos on U.F.O.'s best L.P. Force
It,are amazing, and then there was Siren,
from Roxy Music, Led Zeppelin's Physical
Graffiti, Hawkwind with Warrior
On The Edge Of Time,
Queen's A
Night At The Opera, Pavlov's Dog and Pampered
Menial, Steve Hillage with Fish Rising
and Leonard Cohen's compilation, Greatest
Hits. Maybe not quantity, but certainly quality.
